The McChronicles is aware of several consumer-written blogs about the company (and we guess that there are a ton more that we don't know about), but we are aware of only two corporate McDonald's blogs. They are:
- Open For Discussion: McDonald's Corporate Responsibility Blog, written by Bob Langert, Vice President for Corporate Citizenship and Issues Management at McDonald's.
- The McDonald's You Don't Know, written by Steve Wilson, Senior Director of Web Communications at McDonald's (a guy we think we'd enjoy meeting).
Bob's work is a bit dry, sparse, and defensive, while Steve's site seems more relaxed, fun, varied, interesting, etc. This makes total sense when the goal/purpose of each blog is understood. Both are well-written & passionate, and each has a clear, specific point. Neither is updated too frequently.
Anyway, if you know of a corporate McDonald's blog that we're missing, please do COMMENT and bring it to our attention (we LOVE this stuff).

McDonald's also had a blog for their Olympic Champion Crew program for the 2006 Olympic Games in Torino. It is no longer being updated, but the archive is still there:

Do you think they would listen if I begged for a McDonald's in La Ceiba, Honduras? There are about a dozen in Tegucigalpa (the capital city) and another dozen in San Pedro Sula (the industrial capital) but not a single one in La Ceiba (the third largest city). I'm willing to get on my knees!

It's me again. I just went to your link for McDonald's wants feedback -- that may be but not from foreigners! They don't even accept comments unless you have a U.S. address.
We went back to the starting point on their website (www.mcdonalds.com) and used their pull-down menu for the customers country. They offered NO Honduras!
So, it seems there is no way for your voide to be heard. A shame.
