The McChronicles enjoyed yesterday's double cheeseburger so much that ... well ... you know.
Today The McChronicles and a friend stopped back in for more. And, we got to thinking. We wondered about the differences between what we were "sold" and what we actually received.
So, we ordered two sandwiches (Big Mac, double cheeseburger), snapped their pictures (as received), then went online to see what McDonald's are telling us they SHOULD look like (sold).
We're not going to tell you which is which.
What do you think?

was your big mac wrapped up in paper or did you get a box for it? I dont know if i've ever received a big mac in paper.
ReplyDeleteIt was in a box. We just set it on a paper wrapper that was on our tray.
ReplyDeleteSOMEONE has a very sharp eye!!! Cool.
i thought id share a cell phone picture of a McFeast me and a couple buddies had last weekend (it was after drinking). We ordered meals, so thats why there are so many drinks. I think it was 10 meals for 3 people haha.

which brings up a good point, there should be a list of 24hr McDonalds, I think America would love that list too
You and your friend were not supposed to notice the difference! I watched a program on food photography once. We all know that they stage everything perfectly for a shoot, but many don't know that oftentimes the food is not real. Items that tend to dry up and lose appeal before the session is over are substituted with lookalike inedible substances.
ReplyDeleteI have something interesting that I think you would like to blog about. What is the best way to contact you?
ReplyDeleteThanks,

I used to work at McDonalds and I have to say the only thing on the minds of the people assembling the burger is just to get it done, not with any level of aesthetics involved. Really they're only trained to put all the different ingredients into the wrapper and close it, so I'd say they did a good job of that. lol
ReplyDeleteIt's a Ripoff. If you think this is bad, Malaysia recently had this lunch time promotion for certain "value meal" where it was priced from RM9.20 to RM5.95 (USD3 to USD1.50, or thereabout).
ReplyDeleteCheck out the size of the McChicken and the Double Cheeseburger at my blog (http://opstupe.blogspot.com/2009/04/mcripoff.html)
I know i shouldn't be complaining about the price (after conversion) but dollar for dollar (minus exchange rate), it is a ripoff in Malaysia!
Right now you can get them for cheap. I have been eating almost every day. I really like with a beer.
ReplyDeleteExcellent price
